Motivation 4 is an exploration of sweeping upward momentum and structural equilibrium. Rising to a commanding eight inches, the sculpture features a dramatic, climbing curve of dense, intricately figured burl that draws the eye naturally skyward. This intense, chaotic organic pattern is grounded by a clean, geometric base of African Mahogany, selected for its mild, linear grain and pale, serene coloration.
